Firstly, I have been accepted as a School of Thrift blogger for the lead up to the Festival of Thrift in September. Whoohoo! I have been bouncing around the house all week with this one. Mam and I were chatting about last year's festival, recycling, foraging and vintage stuff, and I can already see a couple of blogs taking shape. Watch this space and also join up to the School of Thrift community so you don't miss anything from the other great bloggers taking part.
The other exciting bit, is my one metre square piece of fabric arrived for the Hillarys Blinds competition. It's the first time I spotted the deadline! 30th March! So slightly panicky but also really up for the challenge. Here's the link if you are interested http://www.hillarys.co.uk/inspiration/the-hub/2014/country-craft-competition/
I have chosen the Caluna fabric and have decided that it might work as an orchid so today I have been making a pattern and doing a practice piece. What so you think so far?
Just trying to work out the positions of the pieces, and I'm not completely happy with the shape of the middle so more work to do yet before I can use the competition fabric.
I'm off to handmade harbour to link up for handmade Monday http://handmadeharbour.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/handmade-monday-159.html hope to see you there
